Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC)

Date:2018-12-18

Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride is a new high molecular synthetic material and engineering plastic. It is produced by the reaction between chlorination of polyvinyl chloride and chlorine under ultraviolet rays. This product is white or light-yellow loose powder. CPVC increases molecular irregularity polarity, the solubility of resinand stability after chlorination, so that it enhances heat resistance and corrosion resistance to acid, alkali, salt and chlorinationg agent.  What is more,it enhances the resin’s variable heat temperature and mechanical performance. The content of chlorine increases from 56.7% to 65-72%, and the vicat softening point increases from 72-82 to 90-138. If it is used for long-term, the temperature will be at 95.

CPVC can be mainly applied to special materials like heating pipes, pipe fittings, injection moldingetc. It also can be used for printing ink, anti-corrosive coating, PVC adhesives etc.
